FAQ's Samurai Beach Reosrt
Yes - we have a 15m resort style pool which is
not heated but there is however a large heated spa.
We do not have any playground equipment,
however there is plenty of open space all around the resort for the children to
play on. There are 2 full size tennis courts and a volleyball court within the
resort. We also have board games, cards, tennis rackets and volleyballs
available at reception at no charge. There is a 3 hole Bush Golf Course on site
and golf clubs and balls are $3 to hire all day.
No - Samurai Beach Resort is situated at the
edge of Tomaree National Park, we are surrounded by luscious bush, dunes and
wetlands. There is a pedestrian beach access gate for guests from the resort and it takes
approx 10 - 15 minutes to walk to either Samurai Beach or the non patrolled end
of One Mile Beach. There is also a 4WD
access track to Samurai Beach that runs adjacent to the resort boundary.
Alternatively the resort is a 3 minute drive from the patrolled end of One Mile
Beach.
The resort forms part of a Koala corridor so
there is a high chance you will see one. We ask all our guests to complete
a koala sighting survey to help us monitor the koala population and minimise our
impact on them.
All linen and towels are provided and
housekeeping services your room every 3rd day.
Samurai Beach Resort has a guest laundry with
washers and dryers. Washing powder is available for purchase at Reception.
Not yet, any functions using Samurai Beach
Resort, have hired marquees and outside catering. A restaurant and function
centre are in future plans for the resort. The majority of our accommodation
options have a fully self-contained Kitchen. The
resort also has BBQs available for guests’ use free of charge.
The Resort is located within
Tomaree National Park and is home to a wide range of native animals such as koalas,
goannas, echidnas etc so bringing pets onto the property is strictly forbidden.
Salamander Shopping Centre is only a 5 minute
drive from the resort and has both a Woolworths and Bi-Lo supermarket. Anna Bay
also has a smaller IGA supermarket, butchery, fruit & veg and bakeries.
A kids activities program runs
throughout the NSW school holidays with organised activities for ages 5 to
15yrs. Some activities are supervised some are not, A small charge may apply to some activities but most are free to
guests.
We can book and take payments for a number of local tours and activities.

Samurai Beach Resort is approx 21/2 hours drive
north of Sydney.
Samurai Beach Resort is only minutes from
pristine beaches and amazing sand dunes and is a 10 minute drive from the heart
of Nelson Bay.
